Shrunken Head - iD-sus - https://id-sus.bandcamp.com/track/shrunken-head | With the precision of a gourmet chef, iD-sus arranges heavily distorted tribal chanting like tiny brightly-coloured flowers atop a soufflé of noise samples floating in a pool of crunchy drums and deeply roasted bass.

Brutalismus 3000 - Europaträume | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBPdU57antg | speaking of random hits brought up by the algorithm, never hear of this band before last week but I was immidately hooked

Knower | It’s All Nothing Until It’s Everything | https://youtu.be/NDpeHQUSWT0 | This jazz duo from LA really caught my ear a couple of years ago and I’m kind of obsessed. Highly proficient, but with a serious DIY ethos and a quirky sense of humor. This song is off-kilter and jagged until it’s beautiful, and it’s apparent on some of the players’ faces how hard parts of it must be to play.

Production Unit - Fear of the Unknown - https://touched.bandcamp.com/track/fear-of-the-unknown-2 - More from the Touched collective, wildlife at the server farm. Maybe a tough listen as a seven-minute half-amusical... thing.

Everyone remembers Swedush hsir rockers Europe because of THAT song... but their other stuff is great too, and they released a new album last week! This video is loaded with mildly famous Swedish people and I love it. "Cult of ignorance" https://youtu.be/p-IOsjOJpnA?is=wf4xLZ_U1MpR-ctr

Carter Vail, Ants In My Room. Love this guy and the current crop of humor songwriters who also put out more serious absolute bangers like this that moves into an emotional piece that's legit good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McvdQYzlLM8

Stevie Wonder - I'm Into Livin' | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3HZ-FEhPjc | So for the 50th of Stevie Wonder's album Songs in the Key of Life, he released an EP of 4 songs that were written at the time of the album but had gone unreleased until now. Unsurprisingly, the songs are quite good. This track is the fourth song off that EP.

Hangin’ On by Frank Mastra - https://youtu.be/RFC3wDST-MU - In the genre of blue-eyed soul, this is a relatively new artist that I found, and you can definitely feel it in his vocals on this track. [Note: this is a lyrics video, so you can keep playing Archive dot org.]

sanzameku - zanmei [4:38]. I don't think they got played but somebody recommended a song from this album a while back and I gave the whole album a few listens on my own time and then made it a bandcamp friday purchase. It brings me back to why I fell in love with shoegaze despite having more upfront lyrics.: https://sanzameku.bandcamp.com/track/zanmei

Calabrese - Be My Death Cult https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpslJvsgj5w Since it's October, I thought I'd suggest some horror rock. Calabrese shreds and growls on this track that has regularly snuck its way into my rotation. And it comes with bonus hot vampires!
