PLGRMS, Crawling Back. Here's one that I keep coming back to that has a lovely enveloping feel that seems rather overlooked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUNBiKOaKZg

PLAYLUNCH - Keith - https://youtu.be/7PTvxw4fc9M - Creating a cocktail of late 90s and early 2000s Aussie nostalgia, and taking inspiration from retro dance music icons, Playlunch is pioneering a new flavour of bangers altogether: ‘Bogan Funk’.

Streetlight Manifesto - Imagine This (2025 demo) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM-XoOhDEY0 After 12 years Streetlight is finally releasing a new album this fall. They were supposed to release it in spring but it "wasn't ready". They dropped a 3 song demo as an apology. This one is my favorite.

https://theweirdsisters.bandcamp.com/track/mystery-trips-in-the-night | Mystery Trips In The Night - The Weird Sisters | This may have come out last year, but judging by the play count, this band, song, and album don't get the love they deserve. The best way I can describe the album this comes from is "middling electronica/dance band have identity crisis, discover they can play guitar, and write one of the best psychadelic punk tracks of the year." I come back just for the back half alone.

Jessica Moss - until all are free|https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YT-cA7OQyGI|A new single from Jessica Moss (of Silver Mount Zion, Black Ox Orkestar and a bunch of excellent solo albums fame). It's her typically minimalist looping-pedal style building up layers and harmonics over time, but this time focusing on her voice rather than violin, with minimal accompaniment.

Murderer, by Per Ink | https://apink.bandcamp.com/track/murderer-2 | a K-Pop inflected trans anthem from a Boston-area artist's July 2025 EP. Not well known yet, but it goes hard.

Car Alarm - Too Many Zooz, https://youtu.be/xV7nHX2RLjQ?si=Yxs-fIWJhGbBUDXv, as discussed (I think last week) this is a really fun song that showcases this brass house band from NYC that started as buskers (and still busk)

[2025] The Belair Lip Bombs - Hey You - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOqJfu-QS6k - Only 2 weeks old, the first single from an upcoming album from my fave band of 2024. From Melbourne, fun instrumentation and the singer has a great voice.

Snail's House - メテオガール (Meteor Girl) https://0101.bandcamp.com/track/--55 Snail's House released Alien Pop V back in March, and the album kicked off with this high-energy track that makes me want to bounce out of my seat whenever I hear it.

Sabrina Carpenter - Tears | https://youtu.be/V9vuCByb6js | New Sabrina album dropped yesterday. I'm upper-medium on it as a whole, but I love a subtheme of "straight men have the bar set on the floor and still manage to trip over it" in her signature clever, thirsty style.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HetqnVVPvSA | For The Ride - Roan Zen Martin | a really solid blues/jazz track that came out of my recommendations. When I looked the band up after hearing it for the first time, I was surprised to learn they're a solo act. The song doesn't feel like it, sounding for all the world like an ensemble piece. It also happens to be a solid jam.

Noisia & Former “Pleasure Model (ring noord 150 mix)” https://youtu.be/_mK8hQuEiTE?si=uN-TnN8vDvguPMka I love when artists take a new spin on their own work. Noisia (a Dutch trio) and Former released the original D&B track in 2017. Nik (ex Noisia) and Former have a new project called ring noord that have put a techy and trippy house version together. Just released this week.

Ty Segall - Possession - https://youtu.be/UbDqOCki0Sk?si=glVndEi1r3LkH-_f - I don't know how he does it, but he keeps churning out so much good guitar rock. Super great melodic hook on this that lands me like a massive tuna.
