[Japan] Gezan – Red Day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O94iCq3fqxQ Some killer noise rock with tinges of psychedelia, sort of Black Sabbath-y, sort of King Gizzard-y. It absolutely rips if you’re looking for that sort of punchy hard rock.

[JAPAN] MONO - Breathe - https://youtu.be/GhYGWNMSS-Q - This is one of my favorite songs from this album, and kinda a departure from their regular post-rock instrumental music. Always reminds me of someone singing with a ton of emotions that are hidden, but wanting to bust out.

[classical, Moravian/Czech after a German work] H.W. Ernst (violin: Hilary Hahn) - Grand Caprice on Schubert's Der Erlkönig - Based on the Schubert Lied "Der Erlkönig" (which we've heard before) and arranged by Moravian-Jewish composer H.W. Ernest, this is one of the most difficult pieces of the well-known violin repertoire. It is dramatic and beautiful and Hahn fucking nails it. https://youtu.be/N0K6Mbm-Hh0?t=578

[Sweden] ABBA - The Day Before You Came https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HnOFwqpLRQ ABBA’s final song, reaching in a totally new direction. One of the earliest synthpop recordings from outside the UK, it’s operatic and utterly haunting. The lyrics are perhaps their finest, ambiguous yet deliberately mudane. Is it about a romance? About a murder? _Is_ romance murder?

[Canada] Ennis Sisters - Out From St Leonards // Kind of folksy this bit of of Cancon had been rattleing around in my head from the 90s I recently refound it. Deine Zeit by Seeed [Germany] - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qYr7zeSnOg This was one of the first songs a German instuctor introdced me to. It uses a clock tick as a part of the song, which I think ties into the song title having Zeit in it, as that translates in English as time. It's just got a really good beat and plus its German Reaggae, which is super fun!!
